Safe Trek Biking

Trail biking is now a sport. With the introduction of the Trek Mountain Bikes, cyclist will be able to ascend fast up the slope of mountains and hills. The rugged mountain terrain in most cases will be no match to the bike. Descending will now be faster as the Trek Mountain Bikes feature a better fork that can be controlled and better disc brakes.

We are here to discuss the safety essential of Trek Mountain Bike riders so they will be able to enjoy their ride.

1. Wear a good helmet- Falling and knocking your head to the ground is one the nightmares of a good mountain bike rider. It is important that the cyclist wears the proper head protection as specified by the authorities. Modern helmets are now light and comfortable to wear.
2. Wear gloves- This will protect the hands when a biker crashes.
3. Wear glasses/ goggles- For the protection of the eyes in case of a crash. Glasses will also protect the biker from dust and other small flying objects while cycling fast.
4. Use knee and elbow pads- These will protect the cyclist in case of a hard fall. Modern pads are now flexible and not wearing one will be a dangerous as the biker’s elbows and knees are exposed.

It is also important that when mountain biking, one must inform a colleague the planned path that will be taken. It is recommended to travel in at least in pairs. A telephone and a small first aid kit are also recommended to be brought for the biker to enjoy the Trek Mountain Bike.
